We have a small greenhouse where we are experimenting with vertical farming systems.
We have developed a simple and cost-effective system using industrial racking and ebb-flood benching. The aluminium benches can be easily filled with plants at a potting bench for example, and then moved with a scissor lift onto multilayer racking. The benches have rollers so can be easily moved on the racks. At the end of the crop cycle the bench can be removed, plants taken off and cleaned.
